Tribal Development
Sustainable Livelihoods for Tribal Communities
SARDA implements focused interventions for tribal development, aiming to improve livelihoods, enhance food security, and ensure sustainable management of natural resources. The organization works extensively with tribal communities through programs such as the Tribal Development Fund (TDF-WADI), agroforestry, horticulture development, and climate-resilient agriculture.
Through these initiatives, SARDA promotes wadi (orchard-based farming systems), agroforestry models, and diversified livelihood activities that provide long-term income and ecological benefits. The organization also integrates tribal communities into Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) supported under CBBO-CSS, PODF-ID, and other institutional programs, enabling better market access and income generation.
SARDA focuses on capacity building, skill development, and strengthening community institutions, ensuring that tribal households actively participate in development processes. The organization also promotes sustainable land use, forest-based livelihoods, and conservation practices to enhance resilience and environmental sustainability.
By adopting a holistic and inclusive approach, SARDA supports tribal communities in achieving sustainable livelihoods, improved socio-economic conditions, and long-term resilience
