Tasks accomplished by SARDA GIS Cell:
a) GPS based polygon creation & area demarcation of forest plantation patches in several forest division of Jharkhand such as – Latehar, Godda, Sahebganj, Ramgarh, Gumla, Dhanbad etc.
b) Management Map Preparation of Palamu Tiger Reserve
c) Forest working plan: Sarda GIS cell ha successfully completed the digitization of forest stock map under working plan of Dhanbad, Saranda, Dhal bum and Dumka Forest division of Jharkhand.
d) IWMP : Geo referencing of Cadastral sheets using high resolution satellite images and micro watershed wise proposed activity is prepared .(Simdega, Palkot, Gumla in Jharkhand, Harnala Baihar at Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh & Jalgaon in Maharashtra.
e) Banka Forest Division, Bihar: Prepared 600 X 600 m and 1200 X 1200 m grid of all forest cover of Banka forest division using GIS technique for Soil Sample Data Collection.
f) Forest Working Plan, Jamui, Bihar; Digitization of forest stock map of Jamui forest division preparation of 25 X 25 second grid and acquired the centre point coordinate of that GRID. Geo –referencing of all forests cover cadastral sheets using CartoSat-II Satellite image is done. Preparation of all basic layers using toposheet of 1:50000 scale and LISS-IV satellite image.
g) Preparation of Land Cover and Land Use Map using LISS-IV and CARTOSAT resolution merge data. Attributing all features and integrating all spatial and non spatial data.
h) GIS based water shed planning, and GPS based data collection for preparation of activity maps under IWMP Project at Bhandara and Lakhni block of Bhandara District, Maharashtra.
i) MNREGA perspective plan: Proposed activity . LULC, drainage maps has been prepared for MNREGA perspective plan for 10 GPs of Simdega district , Jharkhand.
j) GPS survey and mapping of plantation sites in 315 villages under 8 forest division in Jharkhand under different schemes of Ministry of environment and forest.
k) NABARD RIDF : Geo referencing of Cadastral sheets using high resolution satellite images and micro watershed wise proposed activity is prepared .( Khunti Murhu, Torpa and Karra blocks of Khunti, Pakatanr & Simdega blocks of Simdega district, Jharkhand).
l) Under District Mineral Fund Trust of Korba District, Chhattisgarh : In Katghora block prepared the LU/LC (land Use & land Cover) maps, Base Map-with the help of GPS based field level data collection and location map of 53 gram Panchayat of entire Katghora block.).
